Habitat: Chaparral of Adenostoma fasciculatum, Quercus berberidifolia, Dendromecon rigida, and Arctostaphylos glauca. In scrub across northern face of Red Mountain within Ruby Canyon, generally in openings and probably a fire-follower.
Occurrence Remarks: Shrub with many stems arising from ground level. Inflorescences arching at more or less right angles from stem (eventually more or less cascading); bracts large, covering flowers, not strongly reduced in age; corollas pale, creamy white. Occasional.
